When Dance Moms waltzed on to our television screens back in , no one could predict what a cultural phenomenon it would become. Countless dancers have come and gone over the course of the series, however, when some took their final bows, they didn't disappear under the dimming stage lights. Instead, they stepped onto the world stage to become stars in their own right. Kalani Hilliker sashayed her way onto the hit reality show during Season four after initially appearing on infamous dance instructor Abby Lee Miller's Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition. Dance Moms alums tend to do very well on social media and digital platforms, with quite a few of them boasting follower counts in the millions — and Hilliker is no different. However, the absence of a reality TV crew seems to be a welcome change of pace that allows her to be a normal teen girl.

Dance Moms first premiered in , and followed the lives of young dancers and their mothers while they competed and trained with coach Abby Lee Miller, and anyone who ever tuned in would know that it was not only about dancing but also drama. So much drama. But the Lifetime reality series also enjoyed immense popularity, so much so that fans are still interested in what the stars of the show are up to these days. A lot has changed in recent years, for starters, Miller is no longer apart of the show and she actually ended up spending time in prison on fraud charges. And fan favorite stars like Maddie Ziegler, Chloe Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, and Nia Sioux, have all moved on with their lives, leaving the show well in their pasts.
This week it was nice to get back to the petty drama…especially if said drama includes Abby speed-dating and Jill getting thrown under the bus after trying to claw daughter Kendall's way into Abby's good graces. Jill, watch seasons past and learn. There is a definite protocol to being Abby's pet, and it's called being named " Maddie ". When the episode begins, Abby is glad that her girls won their most recent competition, but she's quick to remind them that it isn't their best performance.
Brooke and Brandon were set up on a date in Love on the Dance Floor so they would have chemistry in the group number "Snapshot", but they did not end up together in the end of episode, nor did the group dance place. Brandon visits the dance studio with his mother, Diane , to help Abby with the latest group number. He gets partnered with Brooke for the dance, which becomes awkward for the two of them, as they used to have feelings for each other. Abby wants them to still have these feelings so they can have chemistry for the dance, so she has Diane and Kelly set them on a date.
